Upcoming Event: International Conference on Sustainable Food Systems

We are pleased to announce that the first meeting between the OLI4FOOD project partners has been held during the 26th and 27th of November 2024 at the facilities of Istanbul Technical University (ITU). This meeting marked an important starting point to coordinate the project activities and strategies focused on producing, on an industrial scale and based on the use of selected microbial pools, functional olive-based products in order to promote access to safe and affordable products, valorising the concept of a healthy Mediterranean diet taking into account the identity and diversity of cultures and food systems in the different regions of the Mediterranean area.
During the meeting, the leaders of the different work packages presented their progress in the project. The main objectives were discussed, and the next steps were defined to advance the implementation of the project. We thank all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment, especially Esra Capanoglu as project coordinator and ITU members for their kindness as hosts. We are excited about the future steps we will take together in this initiative.
